Mofeed Group Industrial & Manufacturing Company stands at the forefront of agricultural transformation in Afghanistan. With a deep-rooted commitment to promoting self-sufficiency and rural prosperity, we have established a robust network for the collection, processing, and distribution of soybean and other oilseed crops across multiple provinces.
Each year, MGC sources soybeans from key agricultural regions across Afghanistan. Our operations in the Sholgara district of Balkh, Khost province, and parts of Helmand contribute significantly to the company’s raw material supply.
Despite consistent and large-scale collection efforts, domestic soybean production still remains below the national demand. MGC continues to support local farmers and invest in agricultural development to help bridge this gap and ensure sustainable supply for future growth.
To close this gap, Mofeed Group is proactively expanding its cultivation footprint and capacity. We currently partner directly and indirectly with over 15,000 farmers across Afghanistan. Through the distribution of improved and high-yielding seed varieties, we assist farmers in increasing their yields and strengthening their economic resilience. These collaborative efforts are conducted in close coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock and agricultural specialists, ensuring that best practices, scientific research, and field training are embedded throughout the value chain.
A key part of our forward-looking strategy involves the completion of the Qosh Tepa Canal, which will open new tracts of arid land for cultivation and facilitate irrigation-based agriculture. Alongside soybean expansion, we plan to introduce and promote other oilseed crops such as sunflower, flax (linseed), and canola, diversifying the agricultural base of the country.
